Solar Journey has been a passion project I wanted to do since I started my web design Journey 8 years ago. I wanted to create something really immsersive. Solar Journey is aimed to showing off the sheer enormity of space while keeping things fun and informative.
Solution
By collaborating with the talented 3D Artist Oliver Zangenberg-Minde, we were able to create something truly unique and incredible. GSAP & webflow in combination with threejs was the perfect match to create this stellar web design oddyssey. Solar Journey reached over 10k unique visitors and was awarded with 4 design awards and one article feature.
Conclusion
Combining my passions for design, development and motion with 3D objects inside threejs, has been a great learning experience for me. All though sometimes things got a little bit complicated, I had an absolute blast pushing my boundaries and full filling one of my design dreams.
